Request a Self-CARE Creative Space

selfCARE Creative Space is a group activity designed to explore power-based violence, healthy relationships, social wellness, and other topics through creative expression. These programs run for approximately 1.5 hours. During the first 30 minutes, participants will receive an overview of their requested topic from a CARE Team member. The remaining time is used for guided reflection on the topic through each participant’s artistic medium of choice, including opportunities to share and unpack their creations/process. Throughout the workshop, facilitators strive to create a safe environment where participants can ‘slow down’ and destress.

Community members can request a “Healthy Relationships & You” selfCARE Creative Space through our presentation request form. Additionally, the CARE Team can work with your group to host a customized program about a topic of your choice; past iterations of the program have included “Loving & Protecting Black Women” and “Queer Love & Relationships.”  For tailored programming requests, please note that CARE staff will contact you to ensure that we understand your request and discuss how we might best meet your needs.

PLEASE NOTE: Three weeks notice is required for self-CARE Creative Space requests.
