Psychiatric and Substance Use Services (PASS) Program Manager

Angie is a bilingual behavioral health leader and licensed independent clinical social worker dedicated to building compassionate, trauma-informed systems of care where communities can thrive. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Florida International University, grounding her practice in community-centered approaches.

Before joining the University of Maryland, Angie led behavioral health, school-based wellness, and substance use programs across Washington, DC, and Maryland—strengthening integrated care, developing the behavioral health workforce, and supporting healing-centered initiatives for students, families, and providers. She is also a proud National Hispanic and Latino Executive Leadership and Fellowship Program fellow, recognized for her commitment to advancing equity, leadership, and innovation in behavioral health.

At the University of Maryland, Angie brings her passion for wellness, prevention, and relationship-based leadership to help build environments where students and communities feel seen, supported, and connected.

Outside of work, Angie enjoys dancing, listening to music, and spending meaningful time with her husband and son.
