Alumni and Visitors

Home About Us Who can use our services Alumni and Visitors

The University Health Center primarily serves the University of Maryland population. Alumni and visitors are eligible to use some Health Center services.

Alumni and visitors are encouraged to make appointments with their own Primary Care Physician (PCP), especially for routine services and continuing care.

When arriving for an appointment, alumni and visitors need to provide the University Health Center with their current address, telephone number, and social security number. Alumni and visitors also need to bring a photo ID and an active health insurance card. All patients need to check with their insurance company to see if services at the University Health Center are covered by their plan. Copays are due at the time of service.

Alumni and visitors also have the option of forgoing the use of insurance for their visit. The Self-Pay option is between $50-$125, not including lab work, x-rays, procedures, medication, and medical equipment. All payment is due at the time of service.

At this time, Behavioral Health services are only available to University of Maryland students.

To make an appointment, please call 301.314.8184.

Please note that alumni lose access to the MyUHC.umd.edu portal when their Terpmail email is deactivated by the University and/or when they are no longer registered for classes.
