The CARE Office hosts and supports several monthly and annual events throughout the fall and spring semesters. Follow CARE on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to learn more about our upcoming campus events.

CARE in Conversation: Student Organizing & Activism September 18 3:30-5pm University Health Center, Ground Floor, Room 0141 Enjoy coffee and donuts, and discuss the different steps we can take to prevent sexual and relationship violence on our campus this fall, especially during staple higher-risk events and gatherings, such as Halloweekend, Homecoming, and beyond. We will consider what we can all do individually, organizationally, and institutionally to create a safer campus together. Bring your perspectives and questions, and pick up self-care giveaways! Stop by as your schedule allows; all are welcome!
DVAM Tabling Kickoff September 29 11am-1pm Hornbake Plaza Stop by to visit CARE and learn about upcoming events for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Grab some swag and learn more about healthy relationships and how to create a safer campus community.
The Clothesline Project October 2 10am-3pm McKeldin Mall, West A visual representation of the impacts of sexual and relationship violence on the campus community. This event from the CARE Office provides community members with an opportunity to confront the issue of power-based violence by creating and displaying their own messages on a shirt during DVAM.
CARE in Conversation: Anti-Racism & PBV October 8 3:30-5pm University Health Center, Ground Floor, Room 0141 Enjoy coffee and donuts, and discuss the interconnections between anti-racism and sexual and relationship violence prevention. We will consider how we can expand prevention efforts to address root causes of violence and be more inclusive and supportive of survivors, and reflect on steps we can take to create a safer campus together. Bring your perspectives and questions, and pick up self-care giveaways! Stop by as your schedule allows; all are welcome!
